Gelila Yimam, current student at Wootton High School, is very active in the world of computer science. Having taken multiple programming classes in school, engaged in coding-based camps during her summers, and experienced coding in a work environment through an internship at Johns Hopkins’ Applied Physics lab, Gelila is well equipped in the coding field. Her vast experience has allowed her to master Java, Python, C++, and Linux. Gelila is also an avid tutor in her community, tutoring through multiple clubs in her school as well as being an active volunteer tutor at her Stepping Stones Homeless Shelter, and loves to give back to her community. Her vast knowledge in coding as well as teaching makes Gelila an amazing teacher at CyberInspire, and she is excited to teach and expose young girls the importance of coding and the STEM field as a whole.
